On Saturday September 29th, Hawley NHS members and Mrs. Hollingsworth volunteered their afternoon at Balloon Fest, an annual Abilene event to raise money for Youth Optimist Programs. The students worked to sell coupons for the event, helped children play on inflatibles, and kept the grounds clean.

On Septermber 24th and 25th, Hawley High School NHS students volunteered to set up and work at Fashions for the Cure. This is an annual event held every September to raise breast cancer awareness.

The event is run by the Cancer Research Network, a local non-profit organization that helps to provide cancer patients with prescriptions, nutritional supplements, insurance premiums, emergency funds, and utilities.

NHS members and sponsor Mrs. Hollingsworth helped to make Fashions for the Cure possible.
