Abilene Tournament- Hawley 12, Comanche 2
Hawley 2012 took down Comanche 12-2 on Friday at Redbud after slamming Comanche with seven runs in the first inning. Jordan Anderson baffled Comanche, striking out eight batters. Hawley 2012's pitcher allowed two earned runs, two hits and two walks over five innings. It was a good day at the plate for Comanche's #15 #15 went 2-2 and drove in one. #15 singled in the first and third innings. Aggressive baserunning led to six steals for Hawley 2012. Taylor Courtney had two stolen bases and Heather Isbell had three stolen bases. V Rubio, Courtney, Maci Brewer, Megan Verette, Amanda
Verette, Mistrie Vinson, and Karlee Thompson all collected hits for Hawley 2012. Verette led the team with three hits. Hawley 2012 built upon its lead with three runs in the third. A home run by Vinson ignited the offense,. That was followed up by that scored Courtney.

Abilene Tournament- Abilene High 4, Hawley 1
Hawley 2012 won the hit battle 4-3 on Monday, but couldn't push enough runs across to get the win, instead losing 4-1 in four innings to Abilene high. #7 racked up two RBIs on one hit for Abilene high. #7 homered in the third inning. Kiki Anderson had great control, as she threw strikes on 37 of her 57 pitches. Anderson collected six strike outs and walked three for Hawley 2012. Hawley 2012 scored its only run of the game on an RBI single by Mistrie Vinson in the second inning. Abilene high stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the third, scoring four runs on a two-run home run by #7, and RBI single by #5.

Varsity: Colorado City 5, Hawley 8 & JV: Won
Hawley 2012's four first-inning runs built an early lead that helped bring home an 8-5 win over Colorado City on Tuesday at Colorado City. Colorado City's pitchers couldn't stop Taylor Courtney at the plate. Courtney went 2-4 and scored two runs. Courtney singled in the first and fourth innings. #6 had a sound game at the plate for Colorado City. #6 went 3-4 and scored two runs. #6 singled in the first, third, and fifth innings. Jordan Anderson got it done in the circle on the way to a win. She allowed three runs over four innings. The Hawley 2012 pitcher struck out eight, walked three and surrendered four hits. Hawley 2012 piled on two more runs in the top of the second. A error scored Justina Anderson to get the inning started on a good note. That was followed up by a steal of home by Courtney that scored Courtney. Hawley 2012 increased its lead with two runs in the third. A error scored V Rubio to kick the inning off. That was followed up by Mistrie Vinson's triple, scoring Maci Brewer. Two Colorado City runs crossed the plate in the bottom half of the third, making the score 8-2. and a wild pitch set off a Colorado City rally. Finally, Anderson induced an inning-ending from #11. Three runs in the bottom of the fifth helped Colorado City close its deficit to 8-5. An RBI double by #10 and a two-run double by #3 gave Colorado City life. Hawley 2012 stopped the rally after Karlee Thompson got #11 to ground out.

Sweetwater Tournament: Hawley 16 Post 0
Friday was a day Jordan Anderson will remember forever as Anderson threw a no-hitter in Hawley 2012's 16-0 victory over Post. No Post batter was able to locate Anderson's pitches during the game. Anderson threw a no-hitter, striking out five batters and walking one while recording her momentous feat. She got #7 to strike out for the final out of the game. Sixteen runs in the opening three innings allowed Hawley 2012 to easily put away Post. , an RBI single by Mistrie Vinson, a walk by Maci Brewer, a home run by Megan Verette, a two-run triple by Heather Isbell, an error, an RBI single by Vinson, and an RBI double by Brewer in the first inning fueled Hawley 2012's offense early. Hawley 2012 got its bats going early, scoring 12 runs in the first inning to pull ahead of Post. Anderson threw three innings of scoreless ball for Hawley 2012. Vannessa Rubio, Taylor Courtney, Brewer, Verette, Vinson, Justina Anderson, and Isbell each got hits for Hawley 2012. Isbell led the team with two hits. Hawley 2012 tacked on another four runs in the third. A scored Isbell to kick the inning off. That was followed up by Verette's single, scoring Kiki Anderson.

Sweetwater Tournament: Hawley 8 C-City 2
Colorado City didn't put up much of a fight on Friday, as Hawley 2012 cruised to a blowout 8-2 win in four innings at Sweetwater. Hawley 2012 scored four runs in the second on , a wild pitch, a sacrifice fly by Heather Isbell, and an RBI single by Amanda Verette. Vannessa Rubio was solid at the plate for Hawley 2012. Rubio went 2-2, drove in one and scored one run. Rubio singled in the second and fourth innings. Hawley 2012 ran wild on the basepaths, finishing with nine steals. Rubio, Maci Brewer, and Verette each had one stolen base and Taylor Courtney, Jordan Anderson, and Justina Anderson each had two stolen bases. Kiki Anderson kept the ball around the plate, throwing strikes on 38 of her 63 pitches. Anderson struck out six and walked three for Hawley 2012.

Sweetwater Tournament: Hawley 9 Clyde 8
Hawley 2012 trailed by seven in the second, but Justina Anderson was able to capture the lead back with a in the fifth, spurring Hawley 2012 to a 9-8 win in five innings over Clyde at Sweetwater on Saturday. With the score tied at eight,bringing home Megan Verette. The two teams combined for 17 runs and 22 hits, including seven extra base hits. Kiki Anderson racked up two RBIs on one hit for Hawley 2012. Anderson homered in the fourth inning. #10 racked up four RBIs on two hits for Clyde. #10 doubled in the first inning and homered in the second inning. Jordan Anderson tossed two innings of relief without allowing a run, striking out two while giving up two hits and one walk. The bottom of the first saw Clyde take an early lead, 3-0. A home run by #7 started the inning off. Clyde then tacked on more runs when scored on an RBI double by #10 and scored.

Sweetwater Tournament: Championship Game- Hawley 5 Eula 4
Amanda Verette had a good game at the plate as she spurred Hawley 2012 to a 5-4 victory over Eula in five innings on Monday. Verette racked up two RBIs on two hits for Hawley 2012. Verette doubled in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning. Eula was ahead early but it ultimately surrendered the lead for good. Eula was ahead until the fourth inning, but Hawley 2012 would not be denied the win, taking the lead back. Jordan Anderson threw 1 2/3 innings of scoreless ball for Hawley 2012.

Hawley 5 Wall 2
An excellent effort by Jordan Anderson lifted Hawley 2012 to a 5-2 win in seven innings over Wall on Tuesday at Wall. Anderson baffled Wall, striking out 16 batters. Hawley 2012's pitcher allowed one earned run on three hits and four walks over seven innings. Megan Verette racked up two RBIs on one hit for Hawley 2012. Verette tripled in the fourth inning. Vannessa Rubio, Taylor Courtney, Verette, Amanda Verette, and Justina Anderson all collected hits for Hawley 2012. Verette led the team with two hits. The game's last lead went to Hawley 2012 thanks to a first inning rally that saw one run cross the plate on a passed ball.
Hawley 2012 added three more runs in the top of the fourth. The inning looked promising, as Verette tripled, plating Maci Brewer and Rubio to kick things off. That was followed up by Anderson's single, bringing home Verette. Two Wall runs crossed the plate in the bottom half of the fifth, making the score 5-2. and fueled Wall's comeback. The Wall threat came to an end when Anderson finally got L Partusch to strike out.

Hawley 2012 jumped out to an early lead, but was unable to hold on and lost 2-1 to Midland High JV on Saturday. Midland High JV took the lead in the sixth inning on an RBI triple by #4. Hawley 2012 ran seemingly at will on the basepaths, finishing with six steals. Maci Brewer, Kiki Anderson, and Mistrie Vinson each had one stolen base and Heather Isbell had three stolen bases. Karlee Thompson kept the ball around the plate, throwing strikes on 47 of her 82 pitches. Thompson collected seven strike outs and walked three for Hawley 2012. Hawley 2012 and Clyde each put runners on the bags on Wednesday, but it was Hawley 2012 that brought more home, pulling out a 3-1 win at Clyde. Clyde out-hit Hawley 2012 six to five, but Clyde stranded nine runners on base.
Amanda Verette got on base three times in the game for Hawley 2012. Verette singled in the first and third innings. Jordan Anderson was a workhorse in the circle for Hawley 2012. Anderson pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, six hits and one walk while striking out five. Vannessa Rubio, Taylor Courtney, Verette, and Mistrie Vinson all collected hits for Hawley 2012. Verette led the team with two hits. Clyde's lone run of the ballgame came in the first inning. Hawley 2012 didn't relinquish the lead after scoring two runs in the third inning when we scored on an RBI single by Rubio.

Amanda Verette had a good game at the plate to help Hawley 2012 to a 5-1 victory in seven innings over Cisco on Tuesday at Cisco. Verette racked up two RBIs on two hits for Hawley 2012. Verette singled in the first inning and doubled in the fifth inning. Cisco was unable to make good contact against Jordan Anderson. Cisco managed just two hits off of Anderson, who allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out seven during her six innings of work. Hawley 2012 closer Kiki Anderson put away the final three outs to record the save. Hawley 2012 didn't relinquish the lead after scoring two runs in the first inning when it scored on an RBI single by Verette. Cisco managed to score one run in the first inning on a fielder's choice. Hawley 2012 built upon its lead with two runs in the third. A scored Heather Isbell to start the scoring in the inning. That was followed up by a passed ball that scored Verette.

Hawley 2012 bested Jim Ned 11-6 in seven innings on Wednesday at Jim Ned as Megan Verette knocked in four runners. Weatherly went a perfect 3-3 at the dish for Jim Ned. Weatherly singled in the first and third innings and doubled in the fourth inning. Jordan Anderson got the win for Hawley 2012 despite allowing six runs over seven innings. The Hawley 2012 pitcher struck out seven, walked one and surrendered 14 hits. The game was never in doubt after the first, as Hawley 2012 scored three runs on a two-run double by Bailey Dyer and an error. Hawley 2012 tacked on another four runs in the second. The inning got off to a hot start when Verette tripled, scoring Maci Brewer, Heather Isbell and Amanda Verette. That was followed up by Vannessa Rubio's single, plating Verette. After pushing across one run in the bottom of the second, Jim Ned faced just a 7-3 deficit. An RBI triple by Powers triggered Jim Ned's comeback. Finally, Anderson got Griffith to strike out to end the threat. After pushing across three runs in the bottom of the fourth, Jim Ned faced just a 7-6 deficit. A groundout by Reichener and a two-run double by Weatherly gave Jim Ned life. Finally, Anderson induced an inning-ending ground out from Graham. Hawley 2012 built upon its lead with two runs in the fifth. Mistrie Vinson started the inning with a double, scoring Kiki Anderson. That was followed up by that scored Brewer.

Verette was steady at the plate for Hawley 2012. Verette went 2-4, drove in one and scored two runs. Verette singled in the fifth inning and tripled in the sixth inning. Eastland was unable to make good contact against Jordan Anderson. Eastland managed just one hit off of Anderson, who allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out nine during her six innings of work. Burrows had two extra-base hits for Eastland. Burrows tripled in the first inning and homered in the fourth inning. The bottom of the second saw Hawley 2012 take an early lead, 1-0. Maci Brewer kicked things off for Hawley 2012 with a single. Then a groundout by Justina Anderson scored Bailey Dyer. Hawley 2012 never surrendered the lead after the fourth inning, scoring one run on an RBI single by Taylor Courtney. Jordan Anderson baffled Breckenridge, striking out 12 batters. Hawley 2012's pitcher allowed one earned run, four hits and four walks over 6 1/3 innings.
Moss had two extra-base hits for Breckenridge. Moss singled in the second inning and doubled in the first and fourth innings. Karlee Thompson got the win in relief for Hawley 2012. Thompson pitched two-thirds of an inning and allowed one run.

Hawley 2012's pitcher allowed no earned runs on six hits and no walks over seven innings. Lee racked up three RBIs on one hit for Merkel. Lee homered in the fifth inning. Taylor Courtney, Brewer, Amanda Verette, Mistrie Vinson, and Heather Isbell all collected hits for Hawley 2012. Verette led the team with two hits. After pushing across three runs in the top of the fifth, Merkel faced just a 5-3 deficit. A three-run home run by Lee triggered Merkel's comeback. Hawley 2012 rolled over Clyde 12-0 on Saturday at Home after a seven-run rally in the fourth inning. Megan Verette racked up three RBIs on two hits for Hawley 2012. Verette homered in the third inning and singled in the fourth inning. Hawley 2012's Jordan Anderson kept Clyde off the scoreboard for all five innings she toed the rubber. She pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on three hits while ringing up six. Vannessa Rubio, Taylor Courtney, Maci Brewer, Bailey Dyer, Amanda Verette, Verette, Mistrie Vinson, and Heather Isbell each got hits for Hawley 2012. Isbell led the team with two hits. Hawley 2012 went up for good in the second, scoring two runs on two ground outs. Hawley 2012 built upon its lead with three runs in the third. She singled in the fourth, sixth, and seventh innings. Jordan Anderson worked out of 13 tricky spots for Hawley 2012. She pitched seven innings and allowed no earned runs on six hits. Anderson faced her toughest moment in the fifth inning.

Anderson leads Hawley 2012 to 6-4 victory thanks to 14 strikeouts

An outstanding effort by Jordan Anderson led Hawley 2012 to a 6-4 win in 10 innings over Wall on Saturday at Hermleigh. Anderson worked out of 20 tough spots for Hawley 2012. She pitched 10 1/3 innings and allowed one earned run on six hits. Anderson faced her toughest situation in the ninth inning. The game was back-and-forth heading into the tenth, with five lead changes. Hawley 2012 finally managed to grab the lead after a strong tenth inning. Hawley 2012 drops 3-0 game to Wall despite efforts of Vinson.
Mistrie Vinson did all she could to give Hawley 2012 a boost, but it wasn't enough to get past Wall, as Hawley 2012 lost 3-0 in seven innings at Abilene Christian University on Saturday. Vinson reached base two times. She singled in the third inning. The lead stayed with Wall after the first, when it scored two runs on two singles.

Hawley 2012 makes the most of six hits in 4-3 victory over Wall!
Hawley 2012 and Wall both had scoring chances on Saturday, but it was Hawley 2012 that was able to capitalize on them as it pulled out a 4-3 win at Acu. Wall got 10 hits compared with just six for Hawley 2012, but Wall stranded 11 on base. Hawley 2012 held off Wall, as Wall was unable to overcome a three-run fifth inning deficit. Wall scored on a groundout by K Mcmillan in the sixth inning and an RBI single by M Fuchs in the seventh inning. Despite its efforts, Wall couldn't get over the hump. Heather Isbell paced Hawley 2012 at the plate. Isbell went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. She tripled in the fifth inning. Jordan Anderson recorded the win for Hawley 2012. She allowed three runs over seven innings. Anderson struck out two, walked none and gave up 10 hits. Hawley 2012 never trailed after scoring two runs in the first on a two-run single by Bailey Dyer. One run in the top of the second helped Wall close its deficit to 2-1. A sacrifice fly by K Dusek triggered Wall's comeback. The Wall threat came to an end when Anderson finally got H Hernandez to strike out. Hawley 2012 piled on two more runs in the bottom of the fifth. The inning looked promising, as Isbell tripled, plating Cami Croft to kick things off. That was followed up by Maci Brewer's double, scoring Isbell.

Regional Semi Finals
Hawley took game 1 then C-City took the next two games. The Lady Cats had a great season and we are all so Proud of them!!
